For several years, we have been working at the Levinsohn Winery in parallel with our local work on international collaborations under the name Lewinsohn & Co. with colleagues from the classic wine regions of Europe, and this is how the joint project matured which began with "Kuntz" and continued with joint work on the wine produced together from one of the historic and important vineyards in the Rhine and in Germany in general, Paffenberg.

Vineyard: Pfaffenberg is a Grosse Lage plot that is also a monopoly belonging to the Kunstler winery and is one of the historic plots in Germany where they cultivated the monks have had a vineyard since the 12th century. The plot sits on the banks of the Rhine River and thanks to its quality, its grapes, and to protect it, the monks surrounded it with a wall with a heavy gate, so that Papfenberg is actually a Clos, one of only 3 Clos plots in the entire Rhine.

Winemaking: After gentle pressing and settling, the wine fermented in a large, ancient barrel and continued to age on its lees for a year.

Tasting Notes: A dry Riesling, with refined aromas of peach, citrus blossom and delicate minerality in the mouth, and an extraordinary combination of powerful fruit alongside high, balanced acidity and an almost "floating" feeling of the wine in the mouth.
