A wine created through a collaboration between two wineries owned by friends: Lewinsohn and Künstler from the Rheingau region in Germany. Künstler is one of the finest and most important producers in Germany and among the world’s leading Riesling producers:
winery of the Year in Germany 2024 by Wein Plus magazine, and ranked second on James Suckling’s list of the world’s best wines
(2024 and 2022). For several years, alongside our domestic production at Lewinsohn we have been developing international collaborations under the name Lewinsohn & Co. with colleagues from Europe’s classic wine regions. The joint venture that began
with “Kuntz” continued with the co-production of a wine made of one of the most historic and important vineyards in the Rhine and
in Germany as a whole - Pfaffenberg.

Variety: Riesling
Vineyards: Pfaffenberg is a Grosse Lage site and also a monopol belonging to Künstler Winery. It is one of Germany’s historic vineyards, cultivated by monks since the 12th century. Located on the banks of the Rhine, the monks surrounded the site with a wall and heavy gate to protect the quality of its fruit. Pfaffenberg is therefore effectively a Clos - one of only 3 enclosed vineyards in the entire Rhine region.
Alcohol: 13.5%
Terroir: Alluvial with loess and abundant limestone, situated directly on the riverbank.
Winemaking: After gentle pressing and settling, the wine fermented in a large old cask and continued to age on its lees for one year.
Tasting Notes: A dry Riesling with delicate aromas of peach, citrus blossom, and subtle minerality on the palate, combining powerful
fruit with high, well-balanced acidity and an almost “floating”sensation in the mouth. Excellent for drinking now and will continue to age and gain complexity over the next 20 years.

The magnum bottles cannot be shipped.

Returns and exchanges
The company operates in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law with regard to the cancellation of a distance selling transaction, the return of products and the cancellation of ordered services.
Buyers can cancel the transaction and return products provided that the products are returned intact, undamaged and closed in their original wrapping or packaging.
Buyers may return any product purchased from the site by emailing contact@lewinsohnwinery.com within 14 days of receiving the products and receive a cash credit for them.
Buyers must return the products to us at their own expense and with the transaction invoice, or a copy of the order confirmation sent by email. After the product is returned, buyers will be credited.
